Jann and Adrian Forster met at the
Center of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan
in 1966. Adrian was in the Fine Arts program
and Jann was in the Commercial Arts program.
When they married in the sixties and began crating
and showing their work Through the seventies, they
exhibited and sold sculpture in shows and galleries
located in Michigan and Illinois. By the
end of the seventies family responsibilities grew
so they decided to get "real jobs. Time
went on, in the eighties their priorities changed
and sculpture was put on the side. By the
nineties family responsibilities diminished and
the need to create sculpture again became a priority.
They started creating sculpture again
in 1999. Working side by side, they support
and critique each others sculpture designs. Both
demand that each of their sculptures evoke emotion,
have a fluid line and be interested to look at. They
create each piece of their sculpture with the knowledge
that bronze last almost forever.
